Timeline

Four weeks from design approval to completion

The homeowners wanted their property to feel cohesive and structured while still maintaining a natural flow. Their old landscape suffered from uneven grading, overgrown plantings, and drainage issues that left the yard soggy after heavy rain. Our team designed a new plan that addressed functionality then elevated it with balanced planting beds, durable hardscapes, and curated materials to tie everything together.

The Design & Planning Process

Before installation began, we created a 3D landscape design rendering that showcased every key feature of the project from the front entry walk to the rear patio layout. This digital model helped visualize the property’s new flow and provided clarity on bed placement, walkway patterns, and plant groupings. By seeing the design ahead of time, the homeowners could make confident decisions about materials, edging lines, and bed shapes that complemented their home’s architecture.

Landscaping Process

Grading, Patio Walkways, Irrigation & Garden Beds

Our crew began by removing old edging and reshaping the terrain for proper water flow. Grading corrections ensured runoff moved away from the home, while trench edging created clean, lasting borders for the new garden beds. We built out the brick patios and stone island walkway, laying each section with care to achieve both structure and aesthetic warmth. Finally, our team planted vibrant, low-maintenance perennials and shrubs, filled island beds with color and texture, and applied a premium mulch layer to seal the design in rich contrast.

What began as an uneven, outdated yard now feels balanced, intentional, and welcoming. The new patios create inviting spaces for family and guests, while the flowing walkways and surrounding plant beds connect every part of the property with harmony and visual rhythm.

"Custom Scapes & Designs completely changed the way we experience our home. The 3D design helped us visualize everything before it started, and the final result looks even better in person. The new patios, edging, and planting beds feel cohesive and elegant, and we love how functional the yard has become."
